Wednesday Work Break: Front Street Cars & Coffee, September 2018

Front Street Media’s Cars & Coffee must be in Mother Nature’s good graces, because for the third month in a row, the event was rewarded with phenomenal weather. We all awoke to a crisp traditional fall morning that gave way to the last hurrah of the summer sun warming up the day in preparation for the gathering of local automotive enthusiasts.
The coffee and donuts were ready and the cars began rolling in to decorate the vast parking lot of the Turn 14 Distribution offices, where the event is held.
Cars & Coffee differs from every other automotive gathering by providing the broadest array of vehicles and their people, combined with an unmatched laid-back atmosphere. There are no contests or winners, just a relaxing morning drive to show off your prized possession and meet fellow enthusiasts over a cup of coffee.
I can’t think of any other event where a completely stock, yet clean, Nissan 240SX can roll into a meet with a fully-restored classic Lotus in tow and receive identical ooohs and ahhs from bystanders. I guess we can all appreciate a fine body regardless of the make.
This month’s Cars & Coffee certainly did not disappoint with the variety of cars in attendance. From the classic muscle cars that make you question whether you were born in the wrong generation, to the 840-horsepower-from-the-factory Demon that confirms this is still a great time to be a gearhead. It was a gathering of gems from every individual car community all in one spot.
Check out some of our favorite shots in the gallery, or even better, stop by our last Cars & Coffee of the year, coming up on October 27th at 8:00 am. See you there!
